We offer educational opportunities for all ages, both on-site and off-site on a variety of topics. Over 8,000 school children participate in educational field trips at the facility each year. These “Raptor Ambassadors” become a very vital part of our staff and will assist with our educational efforts. Half of these birds of prey will be returned, but a very special few remain at the center due to permanent disabilities. These birds are provided with the best possible care with the hope that they will soon be returned to the wild. Each year, more than 300 injured and orphaned birds of prey are admitted to the facility from throughout southeastern Colorado.
